About Us
Unmask Tees started with a feeling — that specific exhale when someone finally describes your experience back to you accurately. The quiet relief of "oh, so it wasn't just me."
We make soft, wearable things for the woman who got her diagnosis late, grieved who she could've been, and is now, slowly, learning to trust herself. For the one who's emotionally intelligent but perpetually exhausted from hiding it. For the one who's brilliant, funny, and deeply tired of explaining herself to rooms that weren't built for her.
THIS IS FOR YOU IF —
- You got your diagnosis as an adult and felt a decade of confusion click into place.
- You've been called "too sensitive," "too much," or "in your own world" your whole life.
- You're emotionally intelligent to a fault and just really, really tired.
- You want to feel seen without having to perform being seen.
- You are a Black woman navigating neurodivergence in spaces that weren't designed for either.
- You love wit, softness, and clothing that doesn't require an explanation.
WHAT WE BELIEVE:
UNMASKING IS SACRED
Showing up as yourself — especially when the world has asked you not to — is an act of quiet courage we take seriously.
LATE DIAGNOSIS IS NOT LATE
You weren't broken before. You weren't missed because you weren't trying. The world wasn't looking for you yet.
REST IS RESISTANCE
For Black women especially, choosing softness over survival mode is political, personal, and profoundly necessary.
